I’ve been overweight for about 6 years now and it’s taking a toll on me. I’m tired of not feeling free in this body. I’ve abused food for too long and haven’t thought about my future so this all changes now. I started a project called, “This Is Not a Diet” over at www.ThisIsNOTaDiet.org. This project features a group of people who are putting their mission for true health & weight loss online for all the world to see. What happens when you have the whole world as an accountability system? The premise of the site is basically that diets don’t work so there’s got to be a better solution. We’ve all come to the conclusion that to be truly healthy, we have to return to those essential things that make up health, which are, exercise, proper nutrition, organic eating, and stress reduction. Throughout the year, we will be doing research, interviewing health & fitness experts, and posting all of our findings.

My Goal is to lose 15 lbs in the first three months. I think this is a reasonable goal and works out to 5 lbs. a month. I imagine that my first few months will be difficult as I’ll be cutting out a lot of the poor foods I’ve been eating. After 3 months, I know that some good habits will have formed such as regular exercise, more water intake, and more balanced organic meals. One thing I need to work on is regular sleep schedules. I’m a night owl so this can’t be good as I’m up at irregular times.

After 6 months, I will have lost a total of 40 lbs. By the end of one year, I hope to have lost 60 lbs. Hopefully by now, All weight related stress will be gone from my body, I’ll be able to sleep better, all bad habits will be broken and I will be the handsomest guy on my block!!!”

hey man i am going through the same as you and started out at 245 and i am now to 220. next goal to get to 210 then we will see. keep it going man.
